Robert Cuddeback, founder and president of Cuddeback Family, Inc., of Glen Cove, NY, died Sunday, October 30, at the age of 76. Beloved husband of 38 years to Katherine. Beloved father to Cheryl, Robert, Brad and John. Favorite grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and cousin. Best friend to many, friend to all. Graduate of Kent School and Brown University. 2nd Lieutenant in US Army. An icon in the maritime shipping industry, and a proud member of the Founders Club of the petrochemical industry. More than anything, he loved being with family and friends, and we loved being with him. A true gentleman, he lived life. Memorial service at Locust Valley Reformed Church, on Saturday, November 5, at 9:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kent School, Kent, CT. 06757.

Yet all these spellings are used by the descendants of one man — Jacques Caudebec — who emigrated to America from France sometime after 1685. The most prevalent current spellings are Cuddeback and Cudaback, while Caudebec, Cudabac and Cudderback also are found. This site is dedicated to the ancestors and descendants of Jacques Caudebec.
