ASHLAND -- Paul D. Tucker, 85, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004, at home.
On June 22, 1919, in Ashland Co., Mr. Tucker was born to Clyde and Maude Turner Tucker. He had been a resident of Ashland County most of his life.
Mr. Tucker worked as an electrician for 30 years at Fisher Body until his retirement in 1988.
Mr. Tucker also served as a minister at Ashland Co. Jail. He was a member of First Baptist Church of New London and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving at the end of WW II.
On Oct. 2, 1939, Mr. Tucker married Mary M. Leiter who survives. Also surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Phillip Eugene and Teresa Tucker and David Lawrence Tucker, all of Ashland; five daughters and four sons-in-law, Sondra and John Mays of Bellville, Paula and Rudy Rivera of Houston, Texas, Beverly Tucker of Columbus, Terry and Allen Kitchen Jr. of Ashland and Jessica and Aaron Bonfiglio of Ashland; 22 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Harry and Donna Tucker of Bailey Lakes; and sister, Alene Aber of Ashland.
Mr. Tucker was preceded by his parents; sister, Lucile Smethurst; and brother, John Tucker.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004, at First Baptist Church of New London, 432 Park Ave., with Pastor Herman Bucklew Jr. and Pastor Jack Barker officiating. Entombment will be at Ashland Co. Memorial Park Mausoleum.
