He was an accountant at Healzer Cartage Co of Kansas City He retired in 1977 after more than 13 years with the US Postal Service at the Shawnee Mission Post Office He also had managed, from 1950 to 1999, the Cuddeback farm, where his grandfather had settled in 1884 He never married
He was a Methodist and a member of the American Legion in Spring Hill
He was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Cuddeback
Survivors include a sister, Margaret Cuddeback, Shawnee; two nephews, Herbert Simons, Houston, Texas, and Dr Elwyn Simons, Durham, NC; two grandnephews; and a grandniece
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 am Saturday at the Bruce Funeral Home, Spring Hill The funeral will be 11 am Saturday at the funeral home Burial will be at the Spring Hill Cemetery in Spring Hill
