Mrs. Elvena. Cuddleback Dunning, formerly of Rochester, died Wednesday, June 1, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edward Dillon, Boatwick street, where she had resided the last nine years. Funeral services were held at Mount Morris on Saturday.
She was born in Tyre, Monroe county, August 31, 1856, daughter of William and Betsy Babcock Cuddleback. Her husband, Richard Dunning, died 20 years ago.
Besides her daughter she leaves a son, Fred, Mount Morris; two brothers, Levi and Benjamin Cuddleback, Seneca Falls; and three great-grandchildren."3Utica Herald-Dispatch (Utica, NY), 10 September 1917. "The death of Richard W. Dunning occurred at 9 o’clock this morning in a local hospital, after a lingering illness of several months, due to dropsy. He was a man of good character and was well liked by all who knew him. Besides his wife, Estella E. Cuddelback Dunning, he is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth Loretta Dunning, at home, and two brothers, Fred and William of Mount Morris."
