Center, IA, Jan 17th, 1908, in the 67th year of her age She was married to John Patterson in Franklin Co., IA, about 38 years ago Four children survive her: Miss Nellie, and Mrs Weltha Wilson, both of Grundy Center; Mrs Anna Layland, of San FrancisCo., and John Grant Patterson, in the far west Mrs Patterson was deprived of one of her limbs about three years ago by disease; an affliction she seemed to bear with fortitude and patience, though the privation and limitation were so great On December 23rd, she was stricken for the third time with paralysis, which ws the immediate cause of her death Her residence had been for some years in this county, principally in Reinbeck and Morrison This winter she was making her home with her daughter, Mrs Wilson, in Grundy Center She was at the time of her death, a member of the Congregational church in Reinbeck She was for a number of years a diligent and active member of the Presbyterian church in Morrison Mrs Patterson had a warm place in the hearts of many of her old friends and acquaintances, and was held in high esteem by many friends in Reinbeck and Morrison, from which places, and the country around, many attended the funeral, at the resience of Mr and Mrs Wilson, at noon, Jan 21st, 1908 The services were conducted by Rev
HB Dye, of Grundy Center, a former pastor, assisted by Rev Mr Black, pastor of the M E church The
interment was by the side of her husband, in the Bogart cemetery, some nine miles northeast of Grundy Center ---
